Free Book Exchange!

Introducing Lehi Elementary’s Free Book Exchange; a new way for your children to find a great book to read, to recycle books they've finished with, and to encourage reading for pleasure. The Book Exchange is available for children to swap a book they've read for a new-to-them book. If they wish to, they make keep their chosen book forever, or they may bring it back when finished.

If your child would like to participate all she/he needs to do is bring a book that they are willing to swap with a note from their parent. Donated books must be in reasonable condition (lightly used second-hand books are ideal). Donated books should be appropriate for elementary school children. They can be picture books, chapter books, fiction or nonfiction, books children may read on their own, or books to be read aloud by an adult. Please note: no books written for adults, YAs, nor baby board books will be accepted. Exchanged books may be kept forever so please make sure your child does not donate any book that they will want back.

Our Free Book Exchange is all about supporting children in developing a love of reading for pleasure. The hope is that our Book Exchange will provide a small way of helping children keep reading new books without incurring any cost, as well as learning about the value of recycling.
